On the occasion of World Heart Day on Friday, Indian network 92.7 Big FM promoted the idea that music heals the heart in Bangalore.
The station’s presenters encouraged citizens to take a pledge to maintain a healthy heart during the day-long celebrations titled ‘More Music Na Tonic’.
Various well-known artists such as Mentalist Narpath, Rapper and DJ All-ok & team - Kannada's first hip hop music band, Rap Kavigalu Rapp band, singer and guitarist Prahlad Prasad, singer & composer Govind and beatboxer Nandeesh supported the initiative.
Big FM's morning hosts Shruti and Rubina (along with the artists released heart-shaped balloons symbolically letting go off stress and pledged to maintain a healthy heart.
Speaking about the idea MJ Shruti said: "While we connect with listeners every day and share important information for their betterment, today was a different day altogether. It was great to connect with them in real-time and share the importance of maintaining a healthy heart by adopting a nutritious lifestyle and more importantly let music heal them.”
